History
- 3RD RAIL has been dishing out Hi-Energy “Rock ‘N’ Variety” to Minnesota’s Iron Range and beyond since 1995.
- City Pages Minnesota Music Directory (MMD) listed 3RD RAIL as being “Voted #1 Live Local Band” in Northern Minnesota.
- In the summer of 2004, 3RD RAIL performed their original songs, along with a few cover tunes, in South St. Paul, along the Mississippi River, opening for Martin Zellar (former Gear Daddies) at the 2004 “Taste of Minnesota / Grand Excursion” event. Before performing, 3RD RAIL, along with more than 10,000 other people watched on as ships made their way North up the mighty Mississippi, including the legendary “Mississippi Queen”. Town Square Television, a show on Local television station “Channel 14” from Inver Grove Heights was on hand to capture the excitement and, while there, conducted an interview with 3RD RAIL before they hit the stage for their 90 minute set. A great time was had by all.
- 3RD RAIL has donated their time and talents by performing for different charitable and benefit events such as: The Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethon (2 years), The National Toys For Tots Foundation Fundraiser, and personal benefits for people in need.
- 3RD RAIL was featured in a television commercial advertising live music at a Minnesota Casino. The ten second commercial took almost six hours to shoot.
