Anecdotes

  • Gutted in 1952 and converted to a movie theater, the Fergus Theatre and showed films through the 1970s. Friends recall seeing the first "Star Wars" movie at the Fergus Theatre. Was later renovated to accomodate a stage and has played host to numerous musical acts, community and high school plays as well as films.
  • Home of "the Mighty Wurlitzer" theater organ.
