History

American Head Charge (commonly abbreviated AHC) is a Minneapolis industrial metal band. They were formed in 1996 when the vocalist, Martin Cock, and bassist Chad Hanks met in rehab. Originally called Flux, the band was forced to change their name by another band with the same name. In 2001, they played in the Ozzfest tour.

On 19 April, 2005, the band lost one of their guitarists, Bryan Ottoson, who passed away in his sleep. The band continued touring with Benji Helberg (former member of Black Flood Diesel), who later became a pernament member of the group.

On February 11th of 2006, the drummer, Chris Emery was fired onstage at a show in Minneapolis due to "major irresponsibility." American Head Charge started working on the follow up to "The Feeding" the following week.
