History

Andrew Benon can pinpoint the night he decided to become a musician. It was the night that found him sitting in the back of his parents' car at a pizza joint. Young Andrew was in stomach distress; the world wasn't right. And then Hall and Oates' "Kiss on My List" came on the radio, and suddenly his path was crystal clear. His path was to make music.

In 2006, Andrew recorded a seven-song debut entitled Rock and Roll Moves. The CD was co-produced by John Hermanson (The Hopefuls, Alva Star, [[Story Hill]) and features musicians Tapes 'n Tapes' Erik Appelwick on bass, Eric Fawcett (N.E.R.D., Mike Doughty) on drums, and Kathy Jensen (Prince) on sax. The CD is an homage to 80's FM pop with songs about being alone on a dance floor, looking for love ("Rock and Roll Moves"). Trapped in a family saga, yet yearning for escape ("Farmington"). Finding your inspiration and following your muse ("Secret Hideout").

Andrew played a handful of live shows starting the summer of 2007 and continues to play occasionally and write new material in his studio in St. Paul.
