The songs on Until We Hear From Dave share a spookily cinematic quality, artfully arranged and often quite beautiful...

Combining the noisy pop of Sonic Youth with the eerie nihilism of The Cure, singer/guitarist Holly Muñoz lays down meaty Crazy Horse-like riffs while vocally ranging in style from the breathiness of the Cocteau Twins to the sharp bite of PJ Harvey.

The indies might not be deeply investing in market research but each band's success seems to be a case study for big labels...such news can be empowering for music elitists. Finally, we would have a voice. We could evangelize and be responsible for getting Ted Leo on the radio. Or, we could finally get that trio from Minneapolis, Aviette signed with a label.

One of the best bands to come from the Twin Cities. This is an amazing album and an amazing group. Compelling beats, powerful chord progressions and singer Holly Muñoz's enchanting voice combine to make an exciting, airtight album. Creative and versatile, this record is a necessary addition to any music library.
