Beatrix*Jar is a Minneapolis based non-traditional electronic sound art duo formed in March
2005 by Bianca Pettis (Beatrix) and Jacob Aaron Roske (JAR).
Beatrix*Jar is inspired by modern electronic music, visual arts, experimental sound artist John Cage and the Fluxus movement.
At home in an art gallery or a night club, Beatrix*Jar uses fuzzy electronic beats, samples circuit bent machines and their own indeterminate sound-scapes to create a unique and euphoric sonic collage.
In addition to creating music, the pair offers circuit bending workshops at home or on tour to share their appreciation for non-traditional instruments and sound.
