Bethany Larson and the Bee's Knees is an indie-folk band from Minneapolis fronted by singer-songwriter Bethany Larson. In a 2009 article, the City Pages compared Larson to Lucinda Williams, Patsy Cline, and Roma Di Luna.[1]

History

Bethany Larson was born in Austin, Minnesota. After studying classical voice in college, she began performing her own material in the Twin Cities in 2006. After releasing one EP as a solo artist, 2009's Sticks and Stones, Larson assembled a backing band, the Bee's Knees.

Bethany Larson and the Bee's Knees released their debut full-length album, When We Reach the City, in 2011.
