History
Farewell Tour formed in late 1999 based out of the Twin Ports. In 2001 they released their first (and to date only) EP. After more than 150 drunken shows they broke up in late 2002. They had a reunion show in 2003 after keyboardist Jason Lee graduated college. Then half the band moved out of state, and the other portion joined Words to a Film Score. By 2005 most of the band was back in the area, and Jason hears a band in Pizza Luce playing a cover of their song "We Can Take The World On." This prompts the band to decide they could do it better and they reunite. Since then they've been playing some shows and writing new songs hoping to get an album out of it all.
In August 2006 they announced that their keyboardist Jason would be leaving the group. They considered replacing him, but after a short time they decided to merely continue on as a three piece. Due to these changes in the band, it was decided that they would start playing under a new name. The last show played as Farewell Tour was for Duluth's Homegrown Music Festival in 2007. Ever since then, they have been known as Horse & Rider.
