The First Stage is a small perfomance space/art gallery in Virginia, MN.


History

The First Stage is the first step in renovation of the Lyric Center for the Arts Complex in Virginia Minnesota. The historic building was originally constructed in 1911-1912. It housed a live opera house, ballroom, retail and office spaces. For more information go to www.lyriccenter.org

The First Stage is a small performance venue with an occupancy of less than 50. It is handicapped accessible. The First Stage is home to the Small Parts Players Regional Children's Theatre Company and schedules other local and touring performers. It also is a gallery space for exhibit of works of local artists. Donations to cover operating fees are always appreciated.
