History

Lotus Eaters were a trio act originally from Owatonna, MN, that played from 1990 - 1997. Known for their loud sets of endless originals that few listeners actually knew, the band played the southern Minnesota circuit of farm towns (Waseca, Owatonna, Northfield, Mankato) and eventually created a small name for themselves in the Twin Cities. They frequently played basement parties, college bars, rented out VFW halls and even a Rock-n-Wrestle event with The Mighty Mofos. Though no releases ever made it onto disc, the band produced several DIY tapes full of short songs and even a 6 song sampler cassette on Minneapolis label Bodycast Records. Eventually arriving at the conclusion that other bands existed with the same name, the band briefly used the moniker Dillus Filler before breaking up in '97.

Members went on to join other bands, including The Heavenly States, Cloud Cult and Burnsville City Limits.
