History
MC/VL is a Minneapolis-based hip-hop crew, consisting of two MC's. The crew name is a composite of the MC's and founding members' stage names, Mighty Clyde (MC), and The Vicious Lee (VL).
Their first studio album, entitled "Stance," was released in February 2007. Their EP, entitled "Jaws", was released in November of 2007 and is composed of unreleased material, remixes, and tracks which were unfinished at the time of the "Stance" release. It is a limited release of 300 (200 CD's and 10 cassettes), hand-numbered and hand-assembled.
They were featured on the Twin Town High Compilation volume 9, which was released in September of 2007.
They will appeared in an Onion compilation of Twin Cities music, released in December of 2007.
They were featured in the 2008 Voltage: Fashion Amplified show at First Avenue in April of 2008, and appeared in the Voltage compilation to be released at the same time.
Their second full length is due in late 2008.
They were featured in a 2006 episode of the cable access show Drinking With Ian.
In September of 2007, they were voted number 7 in City Pages' annual Picked To Click issue.
