Marc Anderson, is a percussionist from Austin, Minnesota, who has toured and recorded with Steve Tibbetts since 1977.

He is an adjunct professor in the Anthropology department at Hamline University in St. Paul and leads an African drum ensemble and co-teaches an African Cultures class.
For six years he has led a children's drum ensemble at Mounds Park All Nations Elementary School in St. Paul and lead several adult drum ensembles. He also conducts seminars and workshops for corporations, men’s and women's groups, and teachers.
He has twice received the Jerome Foundation Travel and Study Grants and McKnight Foundation Fellowships and has also been awarded a State Arts Board Grant and a West Bank School of Music Composers Grant.
He has received four Minnesota Music Awards in various categories and was once nominated for Minnesota Artist of the Year.
