History
Marcus Noise was a three piece which played around Minnesota in the mid nineties. When you went to see them live and you saw drummer Joel Lee setting up his kick drum with his piccolo snare and where you expect the floor tom to be, he has a shelf with a computer hooked up to an octapad. He would then proceed to surround himself with cymbals.
They released two demo tapes, a 7" single for the song "Not Anymore" (b sided with "Afraid For Now") and then a CD on singer Rich Hortons then new label, the Angry Seed Co-op, titled "From Blood to Bubblegum". It included all the tracks from the second demo tape plus several newer songs. After the CD was recorded - but before its release - original bass player, Tony Marx, left the band. They found a new bassplayer and released the CD.
Shortly afterward they recorded another song with their new bassplayer, to appear on the first Angry Seed comp CD. Marcus Noise broke up shortly thereafter and Angry Seed fizzled out.
Marcus Noise has recently reunited with the three original members and is playing shows in Minneapolis again (as of Dec 06).
