History
Mercer formed in Minneapolis in 2004. Songwriter Brian DeRemer and bassist, Mark Hinsz have been the core of the group since their High School days in Bismark, North Dakota. This group has performed under a variety of names and in a variety of venues. Mercer initially performed at various locations throught the Twin Cities from 2004-2005, then the group took some time off having kids, changing members, and spending time recording. They are releasing their debut self-titled EP in March of 2008.
