History

A female-fronted rock group with musical styles ranging from 70's arena rock, 80's rock, new wave, and high energy pop and punk rock.

Ouija Radio is a band that was formed originally by Christy Hunt, Brooke Anderson, and Shawn Walker (Chooglin, Fuck Yeahs, Gay Witch Abortion). By the mid 2000's the band disbanded leaving only Christy Hunt as a founding member. Always being interested in different sounds, Christy Hunt would take her song writing to many levels by having a fluctuating line up. The new line up would go through many changes and enlisted all of the following: Sara Huska (Heroine Sheiks), Charles Gehr (Short Fuses, Hundred Flowers, Mid Carson July, Mark Mallman, Jazz Man's Needle, etc), Matt Belz (Lilly's Burlesque), Joe Ulvi (Density Bomb, Rat Salad), and Kat Hixon (The Melismatics, Mark Mallman, Hundred Flowers).

The core line up of Ouija Radio is a trio including Christy Hunt, Matt Belz, Charles Gehr. Christy Hunt is also in the Detroit rock band "The Von Bondies".
