The "Picked To Click" poll is an annual survey of Twin Cities musicians and critics on the state of the local music scene. It is published each fall in City Pages and is generally timed to coincide with the Minnesota Music Awards. The survey was started by music critic Jim Walsh. Winners of the poll have often failed to "click" or encountered other unfortunate difficulties, an effect that has come to be known as the Picked to Click curse.
