History

Originally founded in Auckland, New Zealand by brothers Aaron and Cameron Pollock, Quarter Acre Lifestyle has a new self titled album independently recorded and produced in Minneapolis. Whilst they've played most of the instrumentation on this self titled album themselves, they've collaborated with talented Midwest natives Jack Wilcox and Kristin Brown on lyric and vocal duties.

The result is a collection of minimal, rhythmic, delicate and dark pop songs. Aesthetically simple, they're often catchy and welcoming but have a subtle complexity that rewards several listenings.

Quarter Acre Lifestyle recreate their brooding sonic landscapes live with surprising precision. Live, the lineup is filled out to a five piece with the inclusion of Sarah Anderson on Keyboards. Audiences can see them playing locally in Minneapolis through the first half of this summer, and an introduction to the South Pacific will take place early 07 with performances in New Zealand.
