MISSION STATEMENT
Southeastern Minnesota Youth Orchestras (SEMYO) is dedicated to the artistic and personal development of young instrumental musicians.

ORGANIZATION
SEMYO is led by a volunteer board of directors consisting of parents and community members. SEMYO’s artistic directors, office manager and committees report to the executive director. The orchestra members elect one or more students to represent them at board meetings.
ORCHESTRAS
CHAMBER STRINGS Chamber Strings is open to string players with a minimum of 1-2 years of playing experience. The orchestra will cover the fundamentals of ensemble playing.
PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA This full orchestra includes all instruments and is geared towards the advanced intermediate player. Literature includes arranged and original works.
CONCERT ORCHESTRA Full orchestral experience for advanced players. Literature includes original works of diverse styles, which will challenge students.
