History

Scott Dercks (guitarist) was born in Appleton,WI and moved to the Twin Cities 12 years ago. He has been a professional musician since 1972, when he began playing gigs for Democratic party functions in the tumultuous '72 elections. His mother was a national delegate for George McGovern and her anti-war values were passed on to her son (one of 6).

In the ensuing 34 years he has played throughout the US, including Hawaii and Mexico. His guitar playing has been featured live at thousands of shows and on CDs, jingles, soundtracks, and on the radio and television(both recorded and live "in studio" sessions) In the Twin Cities he has appeared on 89.3 "The Current", KBEM, KFAI, KMOJ, KMJZ and on Channel 4,9 and 11 among others, as well as numerous cable access channels.

Although currently a freelance musician, he has performed with many of the best musicians and bands in the Twin Cities.

Acting

As an actor he has performed in commercial videos and on stage at The Old Log Theatre. As well as in the "pit orchestra" for Smokey Joe's Cafe
