History

Seconds Before formed in 1999 with the original lineup of Carl Skildum (guitar), Chris Dales (guitar), Jason Bauer (bass), Stan Rodgers (drums), and Nate Roise (vocals). In 2001 they released their first EP, "Lost Arts & Sciences". Shortly thereafter, Nate left the band to start his own record label, 2024 Records.

Michael Grey signed on as the new vocalist and in 2002 the band released another EP, "Just Drive". The title track appeared on the Twin Cities punk rock compilation "No Hold Back... All Attack!!!" Michael left the band in 2002 to be replaced by current vocalist Brian Larson. Michael now fronts electro-dance act Mercurial Rage.

Seconds Before's debut full length, "Further Destinations", was recorded with Ev Olcott at Integral Studio and released on Lost Arts Recordings in 2003. A follow up EP, "Echoes and Errors", culled from two separate studio sessions in 2005, was released in early 2006 as a digital-only release. Original drummer Stan Rodgers left the band in September 2005. Mike Paradise stepped in to the drum slot, and having played in previous bands with most of the rest of the band the transition was very smooth and the band is hard at work preparing for new recordings.
