History
The band was formed in 1977 with all members being from the Minneapolis suburbs, hence the name. They were the first band to sign with then newly formed,Twin-Tone label releasing a studio EP the next year. The band was famous for their unique dance sounds and tongue in check lyrics. They would sign a major label deal with Mercury in 1983.
