First Ave/7th St. Entry
Shouldn't this just be called First Avenue/ 7th Street Entry, or something to that effect? I don't know how to change the title.
Arguments for separate entries
- It's arguable that the Entry deserves it's own entry (no pun intended). The room hosts it's own shows, with it's own anecdotes and history. First Ave/7th St. Entry has hosted so many shows, it might be useful to look at them separately.
- I think separate articles that reference each other is the way to go. I think they both have distinct enough personalities as venues to warrant this. -Michael Wells
Arguments for single entry
They are separate venues, but the way I see them working together is often bands will "graduate" from the Entry to the Mainroom.
Besides that, they're both in the same building, operated by the same people, use the same staff, sometimes work together on larger concerts or events, and even trade bartenders sometimes.
I say, put 7th Street Entry in the title and have a separate entry.
The Depot
The Depot was a very import venue in the Minneapolis music scene in the late 1960s and the 1970s. When I was still a teenager I attempted to see the Kinks there (it had to be in the sixties) I was forced to stand outside and listen because I was under age. Later the depot put on the Joe Cocker/Leon Russell extravaganza. The Depot is seen in many scenes of the film of that tour: 'Mad Dogs and Englishmsn'. Within a few years I was playing there quite often, I'm not sure when it changed names it will always be The Depot to me. Even at an industry screening of Purple Rain at the Paramont Pictures lot in Hollywood, I saw the club and exclaimed 'That's the Depot!' I think there should be a page for 'The Depot' too.
