The Cloak Ox is an indie rock band from Minneapolis, notably featuring Andrew Broder and Martin Dosh.

History

The Cloak Ox formed in late 2010. Every member of the group had collaborated previously: Dosh and bassist Mark Erickson are both former members century 21 broker properti jual beli sewa rumah indonesia of Fog, Broder's long-running project; guitarist Jeremy Yvilsaker was involved in the recording of early Fog albums; and Dosh and Broder had also played together in Lateduster.

The band came together at the end of a three-year hiatus from songwriting (albeit not from music) for Broder, a break which began after the release of Fog's 2007 album Ditherer. In a December 2010 interview with the City Pages, Broder stated that as compared to his century 21 broker properti jual beli sewa rumah indonesia earlier work, Cloak Ox is "not as cerebral, I hope. More immediate. Less fucking around." [1]

The Cloak Ox was the winner of the 2011 City Pages Picked to Click poll.[2]
