History
See Plagiarists for a more in-depth history.
The Plagiarists are a five piece band from the outskirts of Minneapolis, Minnesota. High school mates Eric Wilson and Davis Wille formed the band along with Mikael Witte in September of 2004 after meeting at St. Olaf College. They later recruited high school friend Blake Wergeland and college friend Brendan Golle.
The Plagiarists have played with local bands such as The Alarmists, Kubla Khan, Chris Koza, Cowboy Curtis, The Plastic Constellations, One For the Team, The Cardinal Sin, The Battle Royale, The Debut, Aneuretical, Chariots, & A Whisper in the Noise. The Plagiarists have also played with touring acts such as Rooney, Get Him Eat Him, and The Stock Market Crash.
They take influence from a wide and interesting spectrum of bands: From Interpol to Sparta, Death Cab for Cutie to The Dismemberment Plan, and Coldplay to My Morning Jacket.
