The Sunny Era

The Sunny Era is a three piece multi-instrumental and vocal ensemble that fuses Folk Music, Indie Rock, Middle Eastern, Romani, and Spanish styles. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the group is made up of Eric Stainbrook, who sings and plays guitar, and accordion; Laila Stainbrook, who plays violin, clarinet, accordion, piano; and Rob Foehl, who plays an array of percussion instruments.

History

In April 2006, Connection Lost was released under the The Sunny Era with Eric Stainbrook leading the way and Laila Stainbrook on violin. In the fall of 2006 Eric and Laila joined with percussionist Rob Foehl. The Sunny Era released their second album, This Darkness Of Love in the spring of 2009. This Darkenss of Love was a Top #20 add and charted in the CMJ. In 2011 they followed up This Darkness of Love with Gone Missing.

Currently they are performing regionally and nationally in support of Gone Missing.
