The Sunny Era is a three piece multi-instrumental and vocal ensemble that fuses Folk Music, Indie Rock, Spanish, and Gypsy styles. Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the group is made up of Eric Stainbrook, who sings and plays guitar, and accordion; Laila Stainbrook, who plays violin, clarinet, accordion, piano; and Rob Foehl, who plays an array of percussion instruments.

History

The Sunny Era began with Eric Stainbrook and Laila Stainbrook on violin. Eric and Laila eventually joined with percussionist Rob Foehl to fill out the current lineup. The Sunny Era released This Darkness Of Love in the spring of 2009 which was a Top #20 add and charted in the CMJ. In 2011 they followed up This Darkness of Love with Gone Missing in 2011 which also charted. In 2012 they released Lost In The Sea Of Ghosts.
