thevermontconnection was an indie rock band from Duluth, MN

History

Formed in Duluth, MN during the fall of 2001 by Paul Connolly (guitar), Justin Gundelach (drums) and Aaron Richner (guitar, vocals), thevermontconnection started practices with bass player Ryan Earp. After a few practices with Earp, scheduling conflicts caused the band to find a replacement on bass in Phil (last name unknown) . Justin Kervina came on board at the same time providing additional vocals as well as a third guitar part. The band played around the Dulth area as the above lineup until it disolved in the spring of 2003 when Richner left for a summer in Alaska and Connolly, Gundelach and Kervina formed Portrait of a Drowned Man. Its major acomplishments included playing in Duluth's anual Homegrown Music Festival and releasing their debut EP "Eight-bit Childhood" on Shaky Ray Records
