The Urban Hillbilly Quartet formed in 1995 with Erik Brandt, Jeremy Szopinski, Mikey Bales, and Mike Storey. Over many line-up changes, the band solidified the line-up of Brandt (guitar, vocals, accordion), Szopinski (electric guitar), Sena Thompson (fiddle, vocals), and Greg Tippett (bass) and toured the USA. Working with producer Alex Oana, the band released St. Paul Town (1998), Beautiful Lazy (1999), Lanky But Macho (2000), Amelia's Boot (2001) and The A-List (2003).
