History
Eric first meets John when they are 13 on a church retreat to southern Ohio to paint a chapel for folks in Appalachia. After ordering a "muff" at a McDonalds on the way, John drops his drawers in the restroom and dances around while relieving himself on the wall. Later in the van, John offends the pastor with lewd sexual gestures. Eric is so impressed that decides to form a rock band.
Eric first meets Nick as he is smearing peanut butter toast all over his roommate's shirtless body. In retaliation, his roommate pulls out all the condiments from the 'fridge and flings them at the future Starduster with a large spoon. Eric flees the house unscathed as everything from eggs to pickles are strewn over the hardwood floors and Nick's body.
Eric sees Nick again in front of Dunn Bros. in St. Paul winking and wiggling to passing traffic on Grand Ave. When Nick explains that he's "showing a little leg to try and pick up some cars," Eric realizes he's perfect for Vinnie & the Stardusters.
