History

Work of Saws was formed, inadvertently, in the Spring of '99 from a stockpile of loose home recordings by singer/songwriter Brock Davis. Rounding out the band with members Dave Salmela, Kurt Froehlich and Shawn Grider, the band played throughout the Twin Cities and became known for their addictive melodies, visually driven lyrics and short, to-the-point songs. WOS released two albums in two years, both of which received critical acclaim from the local and national indie underground. In 2002 they played the CMJ Music Marathon in New York, then took a hiatus in 2003.

Currently, the band is working on their third record - a double album - which is slated for a 2006 release.
