History

Zuzu's Petals was a three-piece, all-female band whose sound has been compared to the Breeders.

The band take their name from the film, It's a Wonderful Life. In the film, protagonist George Bailey (James Stewart) has a daughter called Zuzu. As order is restored and George is attempting to prove to himself that he indeed exists, he reaches into his pocket and finds the flower petals his daughter gave to him. On finding the floral remnants, George triumphantly shouts, "Zuzu's petals!"

Drummer Linda Pitmon later went on to record and tour with former Dream Syndicate frontman, Steve Wynn.
