The 7th Street Entry is a smaller venue attached to First Avenue. Originally a coat check room, the "Entry" was opened to both showcase smaller touring groups and local music. Over the years, most of Minnesota's pop, rock and hip hop acts have played the venue before "graduating" to the larger stage at First Avenue.
Hüsker Dü's first album Land Speed Record, which was recorded there in 1981.
