Amphetamine Reptile Records, sometimes referred to as AmRep, was a record label run by Tom Hazelmeyer who played with the band Halo of Flies that got it's start in 1986 with the release of Halo of Flies' "Rubber Room" 7-inch. Over the years, AmRep released a number of albums, including Helmet's first album, "Strap It On", records by the Melvins, Boss Hog, Unsane, Nashville Pussy and Supernova to name just a few. AmRep also released records by local musicians such as Cows, Hammerhead, Calvin Krime, Janitor Joe and Guzzard, among others. AmRep's last release was in 2000. Tom now runs Flamerite and Grumpy's.
