In a nutshell
Minnewiki is an online reference about music-related artists, groups, and venues with a Minnesota connection. These pages are meant to communicate real information – not opinion or promotional items.
Minnewiki is created through collaborative effort -- when you register you become an author and editor of Minnewiki content. The depth and quality of Minnewiki is the result of many people's efforts.
You can create a new entry for a favorite band or artist and include their roster, their discography, and their background. (Learn more about creating a new page.)

About the wiki software
The term wiki is a reference to Hawaii's Wiki-Wiki Express airport shuttle and suggests the speed and convenience of building and updating wiki content. (Wiki wiki means quick in the Hawaiian language) Possibly the best known wiki is Wikipedia.org
MPR is using MediaWiki software to run Minnewiki. It is an open-source program. All contributed content and pages are stored and served by MPR.
