On Thursday, September 13th, 2007, Stook! lost his lucky yellow hat. After an outpouring of support on the internet and tips on where to buy a replacement hat (and even some offers to help look for it, even though it blew off into the Mississippi River), Stook! purchased a new hat on Friday, September 14th.
"Looks to be a real close duplicate," he said about the replacement hat. "Without the stains though. I hope it is as lucky as the last one!"
"It won't be the same," he added. "But I will learn to love again!"
